After having breakfast in your hotel\/Riad in Chefchaouen,\u00a0 we will head further south to Volubilis where we can learn about the Roman empire in the north of Africa. Later, drive to Fes, which is our first imperial city in the list dating back to the 17th century when the Sultan Moulay Ismail decided to turn into one of the most beautiful cities in the world to the extent that it is often described as \u201cthe Versailles of Morocco\u201d.<\/p>\n

Start our tour by the impressive Mansour Gate, then drive through the high walls of the Royal Palace leading us to the garanaries and stables. It\u2019s in here the Sultan used to feed and look after his 12.000 horses and where grains are stored.<\/p>\n

In the late afternoon, we will drive to Fes where we will spend our second night.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Visit the botanical gardens of Majorelle, then drive back to the Medina where we will learn about the history behind the foundation of La Koutoubia Mosque.<\/p>\n

Visit the Saadian Tombs that are known for their unique geometric designs, then the 19th Bahia Palace, which was built by the Sultan\u2019s Vizier for his wives and concubines.
