Discover Morocco Through My Eyes
Welcome to Eye of Morocco Tours.
My name is Ayoub El Bourki, founder of Eye of Morocco, a Morocco-based travel agency specializing in private and personalized tours throughout Morocco.
From the Sahara to University
My connection with Morocco began in the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi, in Merzouga, where I grew up as a young Berber. Living among the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi allowed me to experience the desert not simply as a place to visit, but as a way of life.
The desert is part of who I am. I grew up surrounded by its landscapes, traditions, people, and culture, developing a deep love for this special part of Morocco.
Later, I moved to Meknes to attend university, where I studied English Literature. My studies helped me communicate with people from different cultures and strengthened my passion for languages and different ways of life.
My Journey in Hospitality
After university, I moved to Fes and began my career in hospitality, working in hotels and guest houses and welcoming travelers from around the world.
With experience, I became a guest house and riad manager, working closely with guests and taking care of daily operations, bookings, staff coordination, and the overall guest experience.
Working directly with travelers taught me something important:
People don’t simply want to see Morocco — they want to understand it and experience it.
They want to discover our traditions, taste our food, meet local people, and experience Morocco beyond the typical tourist routes.
That realization inspired me to create Eye of Morocco.
Why I Created Eye of Morocco
I created Eye of Morocco to share the Morocco I know personally — through the eyes of a local.
Today, I arrange private and tailor-made journeys throughout Morocco, from Fes, Marrakech, Meknes, and Rabat to Chefchaouen, the Atlas Mountains, and the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.
Every traveler is different. Some seek adventure, others history and culture, local traditions, mountains, or the magic of the Sahara where I grew up.
I listen to what you are looking for and create your journey around you.
Morocco Is More Than a Destination
For me, Morocco is more than a country to visit.
It is the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset, waking up in the silence of the Sahara, sharing Moroccan tea with local people, walking through the ancient streets of Fes, and discovering the traditions and cultures of its different regions.
It is our food, our hospitality, our stories, and the people you meet along the way.
These are the experiences I want to share with you.
Welcome to My Morocco
From the dunes of Erg Chebbi to the streets of Fes, my journey has taken me through many of the places and experiences that make Morocco so special.
Today, I have the opportunity to share that journey with travelers from around the world — not just as a tour operator, but as someone who has lived and experienced this country from different perspectives.
I hope that when you leave Morocco, a part of it stays with you.
