Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge (30 December)

Pick-up at 07 :30 am from your hotel/Riad in Marrakech by your private driver/guide, you will have an extraordinary journey towards Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains via the magnificent Tizi-n-Tichka pass, the highest road pass in the country at 2,260m. As you travel, immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of mountains, valleys, and charming Berber villages that dot the landscape. Descending from this lofty pass, you’ll encounter the UNESCO-protected 16th-century fortress, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, famous for its appearance in classic films like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.

Crossing the river to reach the Kasbah, you can choose to take a leisurely walk or enjoy the unique experience of hiring a donkey to accompany you on this enchanting journey. Following the A Thousand Kasbahs route, you’ll arrive at the alluring Skoura Oasis, home to the picturesque Kasbah Amridil, renowned and featured in various Moroccan brochures.
