Day 1: Arrive in Casablanca
Today, we start our 9 days desert tour from Casablanca Meet & greet upon arrival in Mohamed V International Airport of Casablanca, Then we will escort you to your Hotel in Casablanca. Overnight in the hotel.
Day2: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen
9 days desert tour from Casablanca will continue After having breakfast in your hotel in Casablanca, we will drive to the blue-city of Chefchaouen passing by Rabat. The city of Rabat is the administrative and official capital of Morocco being home for the king and the royal family. Visit the dramatic Kasbah of Oudaya, which panoramically overlooks the ever-flowing Bou Regreg River, Sale & the Atlantic Ocean.
Visit the striking Mohammed V mausoleum where the king’s father, uncle & grandfather are buried. The building is fascinating with its white marble from the outside and intricate artworks from the inside. Adjacent to the mausoleum is the impressive Hassan Tower, which was planned to be the largest mosque in the Islamic World back in the 12th century, but the Almohad Sultan died after three years of work leaving the project incomplete.
Later, we will head straight to the blue city Chefchaouen. Arriving a little early to allow for a leisurely stroll through the vibrant blue alleys of the Medina, capturing photos and savoring the local cuisine, before spending the night at the hotel.
Day3: Chefchaouen to Fes
On the third day of our 9 days desert tour from Casablanca, we’ll drive across the Rif Mountains as we head towards the Volubilis Roman ruins – one of Morocco’s most significant archaeological sites. Afterwards, we’ll continue our journey to the culturally rich city of Fes, which served as the capital of Morocco during the reign of Moulay Ismail. Upon our late afternoon arrival in Fes, we’ll escort you to your hotel/riad.
Day4: Full-Day Exploring Fes
Our 9 Days Desert tour from Casablanca will continue After having breakfast in your Riad/hotel, you’ll spend the day exploring what Fes has to offer with an expert English speaking tour guide. Fes or Fez is the oldest Imperial Capital of Morocco that was founded by Moulay Idriss I in the 8th century. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the largest urban car-free districts in the world.
Enjoy the panoramic view of the Fes el-Bali (oldest Fes) atop the hill, then drive to the Royal Palace with its beautiful bronze gates. You’ll stretch your legs in the Mella (former Jewish Quarter) with the possibility to make a visit to the synagogue. From there, you’ll get into the oldest Fes with its tiny alleyways that reveal countless secrets (don’t worry, your tour guide will unveil them for you).
You’ll visit the tanneries where the leather is made using traditional methods. Learn about the Medersas & Koranic schools including Bou Inania, Quarawyyine (the oldest formal university in the Islamic World)…the tour includes a visit to the museums and Funduks…In the late afternoon, your private tour guide will escort you back to your Riad/hotel.
Day5: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert
Today, our 9 Days Desert tour from Casablanca will continue after Picking you up at 07 :30 am from your hotel/Riad in Fes by your private driver/guide. We highly recommend starting our journey the earliest the better as you need to be in the Sahara desert of Merzouga before the sun sets. Our first stop after driving through the nearby plain is in the charmin town of Ifrane. It is often called the Switzerland version city of Morocco because of its Alpian architecture.
Day6: Merzouga Desert - Todra Gorge -Dades Valley
Start your day by waking up early and ascending the sand dune for a breathtaking view of the sunrise. Following a refreshing shower and breakfast in the sun, we’ll continue our desert excursion to the Dades Valley. On the way, we’ll pass through Erfoud and make a stop at the impressive Todra Gorge to stretch our legs. Finally, we’ll reach the lush Dades Valley where we’ll spend our third night in a comfortable hotel/riad.
Day7: Dades Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Today, we will travel to Marrakech via the Valley of Roses, where we can potentially stop by a local cooperative to learn about various products derived from roses, such as rose water, soaps, lotions, and more. We’ll then drive through Skoura’s palm oasis and arrive at Ouarzazate, also known as the Hollywood of Africa, due to the Atlas Film Studios using the area as a film-making location. After crossing the Atlas Mountains, we reach Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Day8: Full-Day Exploring Marrakech
After breakfast, you’ll be accompanied by a local tour guide as you embark on an exploration of Marrakech. You’ll start by driving through the Ville Nouvelle en route to Majorelle’s botanical gardens, followed by a guided walking tour of the Medina starting at the Koutoubia Mosque, an architectural masterpiece built in the 12th century by the Almohad dynasty. You’ll then proceed to the Saadian Tombs, a 15th-century burial site renowned for its intricate geometric designs, and then to the Bahia Palace. Finally, you’ll delve into the heart of the Medina, where you can explore the lively Souks, which are divided into various sections.
Day9: Marrakech - Casablanca Airport
