DETAILED 10 Days Morocco ITINERARY Tour from Fes
DAY 1: FULL DAY EXPLORING FES
Today, (depending on your arrival time) we will pick you up from the airport and start your 10-day Morocco itinerary tour from Fes, you will explore the mysterious city of Fes with a local tour guide. Begin with a drive uphill to enjoy the panoramic view of the Fes el-Bali (oldest Fes), which UNESCO lists as a world heritage site. After taking pictures by the golden gates of the Royal Palace and stretching your legs in the Mellah (former Jewish Quarter), you will get into the heart of Medina with its bustling cafes. These countless alleyways are shrouded in mystery. Pass by the Mederasas (Koranic Schools), and museums, visit the Chouara tanneries, and then the Souks before being escorted to your Riad/hotel in the late afternoon.
DAY 2: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
Pick-up at 07:30 am from your hotel/Riad in Fes by your private driver/guide. We highly recommend starting our journey the earliest the better as you need to be in the Sahara desert of Merzouga before the sun sets. Our first stop after driving through the nearby plain is in the Charmin town of Ifrane. It is often called the Switzerland version city of Morocco because of its Alpine architecture.
We will have a nice drive through the cedar forest of the Middle Atlas that hosts a colony of Barbary Macaques. After having lunch near Midelt, we will continue on the track crossing the spectacular High-Atlas Mountains, then include a short break for taking pictures in the panoramic palm valley of Ziz before arriving in the majestic dune field of Erg Chebbi.
A warm welcome by the staff members with mint tea, pastries, and nuts as a Moroccan ritual. You may want to stretch your legs in the soft dunes before enjoying a delicious meal for dinner by the pool or inside our atmospheric restaurant. Spend the night in a nice Riad by the edge of the dunes.
Day 3: Explore the Desert Area & Camel Trek
Early wake up in the morning, we will invite you to climb the majestic dune to attend the miraculous view of the sunrise. Have a refreshing breakfast under the sunlight, take a shower, and then resume our journey by exploring the desert area.
To learn about the traditional system of irrigation known as “Khettaras”, visit the Khamlia village, which is resided by people with a dark complexion who were brought as slaves from the Sub-Saharan Lands. They are known for the spiritual “Gnawa Music”, which they perform to guest visitors.
Have a tour around the majestic dunes offering stunning views. We will visit a local nomad family that lives in the tent sharing with them a mint tea and learning about their lifestyle. After lunch, we will return to the Riad for our camel ride trek in the golden dunes. Enjoy the panoramic view of the sunset before spending a romantic night in a luxury desert camp.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Early wake up in the morning as we will invite to climb the dune up to attend the majestic view of the sunrise. After having breakfast and taking a refreshing shower, we will continue on the track further west. We will include a short break in the city of Erfoud, which is known for fossil factories and dates. Later, we will stretch our legs in the impressive Todra Gorge (Canyon) that has attracted mountain climbers from all over the world.
We will spend our third night in the lush Dades Valley in an authentic and comfortable hotel/Riad.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Nomad Caves – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad in the Dades Valley, we will resume our journey to Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) passing by Ait Boutaghrar Village and visiting a nomad family still lives in case. Drive through the Valley of Roses, Skoura where we will visit the striking Amredil Kasbah before arriving in Ouarzazate.
This city is known for the Atlas Film Studios which have attracted producers from all over the world. Among the films that were shot in the region are Cleopatra, Lawrence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia, Gladiator, and many others.
Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Today is our final day in the interesting desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, we will head to Marrakech but on the way, we will include a guided walking tour of the Ait Benhaddou Village. This Ksar is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and has been used as a backdrop for shooting numerous Hollywood films.
Later, we will continue on the track by crossing the spectacular High-Atlas Mountains over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m). Arrive in Marrakech in the evening and we will make sure to get you to your accommodation hassle-free.
DAY 7: MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, we will begin our tour of the key attractions in Marrakech. We’ll start with the Bahia Palace, which translates to “the palace of the beautiful.” This royal palace lives up to its name with its stunning eastern architecture and intricately carved panels.
Next, we’ll explore the Majorelle Garden, a place beloved by Yves Saint Laurent and a must-visit in Marrakech. These gardens are a serene oasis in the heart of the city. We’ll also visit the Menara Gardens, which have been around for centuries and beautifully showcase the city’s charm.
Our tour will take us to the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest and most renowned mosque in Marrakech, built in the 12th century. Lastly, we’ll visit Jamaa El Fna, the central square of the city’s historic district, known as the Medina.
After our exploration, we’ll return to your hotel for the night.
DAY 8: Marrakech – Essaouira – Casablanca – Rabat
Following our 10 days tour from Fes after having breakfast. We will head towards Essaouira in the west. Along the way, we will take breaks to see the Argan tree goats and admire the scenic views. Essaouira, previously known as Mogador, is a significant coastal city in Morocco that we will reach. Here, we will explore the fishing spot, the historical ramparts with canons, and the old medina. Continuing from Essaouira, your tour will lead you towards Casablanca, where you’ll have the opportunity to visit iconic sites such as the Hassan II Mosque and the vibrant Corniche along the Atlantic coast. From there, you’ll travel onward to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. Upon arrival in Rabat, you can immerse yourself in the rich history and culture by exploring landmarks like the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. After a day filled with exploration, you’ll settle into your hotel in Rabat for a restful evening, preparing for the next leg of your adventure.
DAY 9: Rabat – Chefchaouen – Fes
After breakfast at your Riad/hotel, we’ll drive to Chefchaouen, passing through the impressive Rif Mountains. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, we will begin exploring this enchanting city, often referred to as the “blue city” or the “blue pearl of Chefchaouen.” It’s a fantastic place for photographers because of its charming white and blue painted walls. We’ll stroll through the medina to appreciate the lovely architecture of this city. After lunch, you can have a stroll over what you didn’t visit before we leave back to Fes via Ouazane.

Day 10: Fes – Transfer to Airport
