Itinerary:
Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine
Start your journey from Agadir and drive towards the historic town of Taroudant, often referred to as “Little Marrakech.” Explore its ancient walls, lively souks, and traditional craftsmanship. Afterward, continue to Taliouine, the heart of Morocco’s saffron-growing region. Here, you can visit saffron cooperatives and learn about the cultivation of this precious spice. The day ends with an overnight stay in Taliouine, where you can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this small town surrounded by the Atlas Mountains.
Day 2: Taliouine – Ouarzazate
Depart from Taliouine and head towards Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara Desert and a major film-making location known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” En route, you’ll pass through stunning landscapes, including the Anti-Atlas Mountains and picturesque valleys. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, visit the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has appeared in numerous films and TV series. You’ll also have time to explore the Taourirt Kasbah, another impressive structure in Ouarzazate. Spend the night in a traditional riad, soaking in the rich history and culture of the region.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – Agadir
On the final day, begin your journey back to Agadir. The drive will take you through the scenic Souss-Massa region, with opportunities to stop at small villages and enjoy the local landscapes. Before reaching Agadir, you might consider a detour to visit the Argan oil cooperatives in the area, where you can learn about the production of this unique Moroccan product. Arrive in Agadir in the late afternoon, where your tour concludes.
